Introduction and Dedication

You will discover in this book, which has been especially prepared for the L'Heureux Centennial Reunion of 1987, the progression of the Moise and Sophie L'Heureux family to the present date.

The names and dates have been compiled by one descendant of each of the original fifteen family members. We hope you find these pages, as well as being interesting, helpful in identifying your relatives. The stories accompanying each family may give you some indication of the hardships, laughter and ingenuity that came with opening up new territory.
